The Dark Knight Broken Records
Lots of talk going on about all these records The Dark Knight is breaking, well lets round them all up right here shall we? Will it be enough to shatter Spiderman and break the wall down to victory past the Titanic?
The Dark Knight opened this past weekend in both Imax and Theaters. The final tally for total weekend sales is 158.4 million dollars, easily breaking the 151 million mark of Spiderman 3. The record opening weekend was actually higher than the studios estimates.
The movie also broke the opening day record with 67.8 million dollars. On opening night the movie made a tally of 18.5 million for midnight shows alone, which does not include the 3 am showings, which als beats the Star Wars midnight record.
The movie opened in 4,366 theaters, another record, and coninues to expand for demand. WB expects the movie to gross over 220 million dollars in its first week, more than Batman Begins made all together, and is already nearing the 200 million dollar mark. Spiderman holds the record for overall sales. Box office has also stated its highest grossing weekend overall as well.
As of today The Dark Night has added well over 30 million more dollars to its total and is becoming the fastest movie to reach 200 million. Having been out for only 4 days, the tally shows the movie at the 182 million dollar mark. Spiderman holds the record for reaching 200 million in 8 days.
With The Dark Knight taking almost ever box office record known in only 4 days here is a cheers that it finally knocks off Titanic from best in box office. That way we no longer have to hear movies not beating it. Then people can remember the comic book movie generation in a good way!

E3. What It Was and What It Isnt...What Needs to be Done
Now E3 has just ended a few days ago and while we did get quite a few surprises out of some press conferences, are we all really happy with the show? Did we all get that excitment, joy, and urge to stay awake till 6 AM for some key announcment that we all got years ago? Did the show have the same impact as opening present on Christmas?
I think the answer for most E3 lovers, including myself, is no. The show this year was far from my expectation of being the biggest and best video game conference around. Last year was the year you would expect to be lame, as the conference was no long open to the entire industry and was being held in hotels of Santa Monica, but who would of thought it would have a bigger turn out than this year?
As of last year the ESA, the guys that run the industries event, decided that no general public would be aloud to visit E3. Now the event was always closed to public, but if you wrote about video games, worked at a gamestore, or happened to be a hot booth babe you were aloud in. With this rule none of this is possible, only head guys from top companies are aloud in and no the hot booth babes are not aloud to follow. So by doing this your cutting out every small video game website, every entertainment blog, and every smaller developer or small employee from entering the show, which cuts the draw out of people dramaticly. Then to make matters worse they decided to make it even tougher on small developers by putting HIGH price tags on getting any sort of booth in the show and then giving booths the size of bedrooms to people that can barely afford it. Now the problem is companies like Activision, Blizzard, and several other companies have already withdrawed from the ESA and wont be attending E3 until its fixed. So not only have you lost attendence, but you have lost major companies, small companies, and preaty much all the people that keep your industry alive.
Now some people may see it as them just making it easier to spread out news, cut the crowds down, and make it more professional. Well it has the complete opsosite effect. With less crowds means less people to show off, with less journelist means less sites are digging up news, and less people means less announcments. After all with GDC right around the corner gathering 50 times more people, why should companies care what happens at E3?
Now the problem is they are trying to hard to ruin E3. Its known for being full of entertainment, having lots of people, and being the biggest party of the summer. Not only that but its entertainment and your taking entertainment away. If we want profesional we got plenty of other conventions in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and even San Fran that we can turn to.
What i propose is they knock it off with these rules. Allow the fun back in E3, after all its not them thats paying for it all. Its the developers that pay for it. The developers set up the booths with loud music and effects, the devs pay the hot girls to be booth babes, and the devs make it fun. You get to sit around and watch.
Secondly lets open it completely to the public. Now you may think "ah thats a stupid idea, you just want it open so you can go" and well is it really stupid to be making bank on a show that normally has invites only? Look at San Diegos Comic Con, its 50 times bigger, its way more anticipated, and yet it has tons more news flowing through it. The thing is its done correctly, they allow the press to get up close and the fans to stay fans. The big deal is they have tons of people there, which is great for the companies. The more people the bigger the announcment, the bigger the effect. Then San Diego wins because all those people paid to get in. Just look at it this way, we had more Comic Con anticiaption articles and more Comic Con company announcments, and we even have rumors floating about who is going to be there already, and all this was happening while E3 was going on. E3 had none of this for the past few years, and this year is had absolutely none at all. Along with this it allows stars, big name companies, and the fans to all get together for one big bang. Comic Con has been for a while the big grand finaly of all summer events, and last year it even had major video game announcments.
Lastly think about the video game industry and what it needs. The Industry has no comic con, and the closest thing WAS E3 but we obviously no longer have that. Movies have the Comic Con and Video games will never be able to compete on that same scale any time soon, so E3 needs to be bigger and open to the public. However if it is open to the public, im going to say it has to be moved out of LA. LA is not the most welcoming place in Cali. However do NOT move any further up north, as people outside of Cali will not go then, but instead move it around Anehiem or south more. Otherwise keep it at LA but jazz it up and make it more welcoming.
Im sorry but with the turn out it had this year i dont expect E3 to be around much longer. I really hope it does stick around but what use is a show that has no key announcments? I remember the days when E3 would have weeks of anticiaption and then a week of nothing but huge announcments. People would be taking tons of pictures of everything, and this year there was nothing to take pictures of. San Diego must be proud with Comic Con but LA is starting to disapoint with E3. Both contracts to keep the conventions in their cities expire in 2012, while i suspect San Diego will renew Comic Con, with E3 going downhill i dont suspect LA to renew E3.

Mark Millar On Directing Superman Movie
Now i dont know if much people have been following the Superman Returns sequel news, but directing of Wanted, Mark Millar, has been in the talk for the next director. While director Bryan Singer accomplished the Superman Returns movie and was already planned to make the sequel.
Now the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that Superman Returns was not the greatest movie in the world, not horrible, but not great. The problem is Bryan Singer had to restart the franchise, not everyone had watched the classics, so he had to restart it and bring a new Superman to Hollywood. The poblem is people like me are really tired of watching the beginings to differnt characters and this was no exception. Ironman did it with a little extra jazz by getting to the point that he is Ironman and move on, which is what all comic franchises need to do.
So in actuality Bryan Singer never really got a chance. The movie was going to be boring or whatever you say about it no matter what because its a begining story, its introducing you to singers Superman. So im proposing we let Singer have a chance and see what he can do with an actual story, after all look at Xmen and Xmen 2. Lets take Superman and move on to other stories, more interesting stories.
However Mark Millar has a differnt idea, and its not that i dont support him as a director, its that i dont support him with Superman. Ive yet to see any script ideas from him and all ive heard is he wants to "re-invent" Superman, and thats the last thing i want. I want Superman Doomsday live action and more deep stories, i dont want to watch Superman never get past the beginings with Lex Luthor. After all this is why Superman Returns failed. Lets not reinvent Superman, lets keep Brandon Routh because he is amazing and dedicated to the roll, and lets move on with the stories.
Now another thing is the fact that Millar is bashing Superman Returns and basicly saying Singer is not fit to direct the movie. Now the problem is your saying a movie you want to make a sequel to is horrible, so what are the fans going to think when the new superman comes out? I can tell you now your not going to get lines out the door like The Dark Knight did.
Not only that but according to every interview he is saying he is a huge Superman fan. However he failed to mention the fact that Singer stepped away from one of the most succesfull trilogies ever to make Superman Returns because he is a fan too. Xmen 3 was Singers movie to make, he could of made ALOT more money making X3 and yet he stepped down to make Superman Returns. He took a risk and is still dedicated to sticking with his decison, and you are merely trying to steal it away.
Just look at Batman Begins compared to The Dark Knight, WB allowed them to have a more intriguing story with The Dark Knight and Nolan did an amazing job with it, so why cant Singer have the same thing?
Well in a interview released today he specificly stated that his "secret director" has phoned him and they are suposedly getting closer. Mentioning the fact that they want to reboot the series and want him on that team because he is so "dedicated" to Superman. Im sorry to be on him like this, but no its not what the fans want its what he wants. I want Superman to move on, he wants to reboot it. I know he just wants to be apart of it, but maybe he should work with Singer on furthering the story? Lets not restart it PLEASE!
So all i ask is please Singer please take the next movie and move on with the story. Get your chance you should of had with Returns. All i ask is we DONT restart the franchise and we move on. Do something Nolan did with The Dark Knight and move on and leave the past what it is. I know Superman stories are not as deep as Batman but something can be done and its right there. Just listen to the fans!

Hellboy II: The Golden Army Review
Last night, Friday, i went out to go see Hellboy II with much anticipation. The movie started at 7:40 and we got there at 7:20, and the line had already been let in! I was a little nervous that I wouldnt get my seat but much to my dismay, i walked in and only about twenty people were in there. I was shocked. So anyways I got my seat and I was happy. Now to the review.
The movie sends you through a few main emotions. Happiness, sadness, and excitement. The movie, moreso than the first, has a wide assortment of jokes and comedy. The whole movie was full of them which lightened the tone at sometimes. Most of the characters from the first are here, and a few new ones. I wont tell you who they are because i dont want to ruin it for you. :) It starts out with the story of the Golden Army, which sets the whole tone for the movie. As you may have noted in the first, Hellboy and Liz are together now. (If you havent seen the first one sorry. Haha.) It takes you on a ride of their newfound relationship and the struggles they must endure. I dont want to explain anymore out of the spoiler factor.
The special effects were AMAZING! Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) did an amazing job on this movie. This movie , unlike its predessessors added a wide range of new creatures and baddies. It is more than your ordinary type of creatures. It involves trolls, goblins, elves, demons, humanoids and many others. This movie isnt scary at all so dont worry about that.
The movie is jam packed with action and would be great for any movie lover to go see. The ending was great as well. It left it open for a sequel, but makes you wonder what it will be about. This is a noteworthy fact, DO NOT STAY AFTER THE CREDITS. There is nothing! If i didnt stay long enough email me and please tell me. But i waited until the lights came on and teh employees were cleaning, so im pretty sure. That was the only thing that made me mad about the movie.
Overall this movie is a definant go see. I give it a 9.3/10 total. When this comes out I will be buying it for sure!

Siren: Blood Curse
Siren: Blood Curse is a stealth based survival horror game. The story begins on August 3,2007 and focuses on an American television crew that arrives in Japan to investigate and document the legend of Hanuda, a "vanished village" where human sacrifices are said to have taken place thirty years prior. The game takes you through twelve chronological stories grouped into four different chapters. The demo is up on PSN if anyone wants to play it.
When i played the demo i saw the grit in the screen and thought of the Silent Hill series. The use of the grit adds to the horror type scenario, making you feel as if you are in a movie. The camera takes a little getting used to since the game uses static angles of the camera at first, but if oyu use the right analog stick you can move it around. It gets confusing if you do though. The music however is great. It adds to the horror effect. The graphics are alright. I love horror games and this one I think isnt as scary as i would like. But, hey, it is just the demo. I look forward to playing it when it comes out.
Even though the demo was extremely short, I give this game, based on JUST the demo, an 8/10.

Time Capsule #2
Time to open the Time Capsule! This series of articles will be posted once every week to discover what is kept within the capsule. I will review games of the past as well as the movies. Make sure to pay attention each week as a new one is posted. This week I am looking at dun dun dun!... Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for the N64!
The day was November 25, 1998; the game, Zelda Ocarina of Time. This game was the benchmark for interactive entertainment. Zelda: OoT was the fifth installment of the Zelda series. The game was so enjoyable i spent hours on end playing this title with very little sleep under my belt. It is extremely rare that you find such an amazing concoction of game play, sound and graphics that make even the most cynical gamers admit that Zelda: OoT is a great game. It immerses you in the world where you refuse to exit.
Like all its predecessors, this game follow Link, a Kokiri boy, who just awoke from a dream, involving a princess and Ganondorf (later to become Ganon), in his village behind the Lost Woods. He meets up with a winged Navi, and sets out for an epic adventure. On his way to save princess Zelda, OoT leads players through dark dungeons, picturesque villages, into the heart of a volcano, to the bottom of a lake, through a haunted desert, deep into a magical forest, into a giant tree, the belly of a beast, and even through time. Each area you discover of Hyrule, you are enthralled in the game and amazed at the level of detail the game displays.
The controls, at first, are much like Super Mario 64, the inventor of 3D platformers. One noteworthy difference is that there is no jump button. The jump action is not essential to the game play. Instead the game features an auto-jump feature where when you go the to end of a ledge, at the last moment, Link will jump. It may sound ridiculous, but it works quite well for this game.
Familiar fans of the series will enjoy the old objectives of pushing walls to find hidden rooms, using bombs to uncover secret passages, shooting arrows at certain objects to open doors, and blah blah blee blah. With the use of the ocarina (a clay flute), players need to play certain melodies to solve riddles or warp to new locations, and even engage in numerous games of Simon says. When you bring out the ocarina, the controller's button layout actually mirrors a real ocarina, with the Z button acting as the bottom hole on the flute. The designer also added a pitch modulator, used with the analog stick, to bend the pitch of the flute..err...ocarina.
The Ocarina lets you travel forwards and backwards in time, much like the light and dark world of OoT's predecessors. It lets you talk to adolescent Link who tells you of a boy who had an ocarina and did something seven years earlier. Then you go back in time and actually do it. It also incorporates a fishing game with a rumble pack feature and realistic fish behavior. Also there is a horse that you can ride and jump over fences or hours on end! There are involving sword fights where the enemies block with their shields, a shooting range, hook shot ability, secrets with the sunlight and mirrors, capturing ghosties in bottles, changes in daylight and weather that affect game play, ability to wear different masks, rumble pak vibrations that give away the locations of hidden caves. Oh yeah this game has it all. Did i mention teasing the chickens? Haha, yep that's right. This game is simply amazing.
The camera follows Link in a style similar to Mario 64. Like Mario, the camera also zooms out to reveal Link's surroundings at times, but that's where the similarities end. The camera also can go behind Link simply by pressing Z.When you see a character or an object that interests you or you're being attacked by an enemy, press the Z trigger. This will bring up a rotating yellow cursor that locks onto your target. Now, as long as you don't press the Z button again (or turn away to break your lock), the camera will stay on your target, retaining its over the shoulder position. This allows you to circle your enemies and slash at them while side-stepping, back-flipping and shielding yourself from the onslaught. Your fairy will also be by the head of the enemy you are locked on.The upper C button will let you either switch to an alternate camera angle, or zooms in to let you look around.
Pressing B will make Link draw his sword. Press it again to slash at your enemy once. Press it three times to swing the blade from the bottom to the top. Press forward and B to slash downward. Turn the 3D Stick in a circle to do a roundhouse slash. After finding the power up you can hold B then unleash a slash that devastates your enemies. The lower C buttons allow the use of items that you can set to any of the three. The A button allows a diverse assortment of actions. Simply by standing next to an interactive item you can jump, dive, swim, read, talk, climb, pull and push.
Simply to beat the game it will take about 30 hours, but if you involve yourself to find every nook and cranny it will take you over 80 hours.
There is no doubt that Zelda: Ocarina of Time is an amazing game that raised the bar for 3D rpgs everywhere. If you have not played this game go out and get it if you can find it. If you don't have an N64, buy one for $5 at a thrift shop. This game will not disappoint. This game gets an overall 9.9/10 from me. that .1 is because i don't like to give out 10's. Haha :).
Time to close up the capsule and revisit it another day. Make sure you check this out next week when i review another game from dun dun dun! *echoed deep voice* The Time Capsule!!!Always and Never

P.S. If you have an old game you want me to check out and review for the Time Capsule, e-mail it to me at Nemeisis15@yahoo.com. Thanks

Thanks

Batman Gotham Knight Review
DC is at it again releasing another animated movie into their PG-13 collection. Filling the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, Batman Gotham Knight is a collection of 5 stories that will keep Batman fans happy for the release of the upcoming film. Starring Kevin Conroy, Batman in almost all batman animated appearences, will this anime style cartoon live up?
The movie, if you want to call it that, is actually 6 interlocking short animated features. Each episode has its own writer and its own way of telling a story but somehow link to one another. With certain areas being touched on, like where the Scarecrow went off to, the stories easily explain the large gap between the two movies. Taking voice acting and story telling to the max they decided to combine these aspects with the top anime producers in Japan to give us one action packed package.
The first episode, Have I Got A Story For You, was probably the most disapointing episode of them all. The story is similar to one of the most popular episode from the 90's cartoon of batman where cops have to tell their point of view of the story and explain what went wrong. Well in this case its kids and instead of defending their jobs they are explaining their experience with Batman. Batman looks in-human but you realise your being told a story from a kids point of view and your seeing their exact description. However the episode is the least exciting and had probably the most dull storyline of them all. While uniqe you need some type of interest to keep you going, this had very few surprises or interest in it at all. However it wasnt the storyline that had me bored, but the art in this epsiode was very dull and the animation was horrible. Now I know its the anime way to make things 3 frames at a time but the animation was as stiff as can be. Then also following anime tradition the enviroment (cities, building textures etc) were AMAZING but the characters them selves could of been drawn in 2 seconds. Finally hte episode abrubtly ends with an Adam West inspired Batman finally showing up. Combining all this and i was thinking that maybe anime was not the right way to go at all.
Episode 2, Crossfire, was slightly better but still was dull to me. The story follows two cops that are taking a prisoner to Asylum, however they get stuck in a gang war with the Russians. While the story was hinting at the fact that Batman is now in question with the society it had no central interest to it. One thing i noticed in this episode was the un necasary need for amazing detail on the characters but little effort on the enviroment. This esiode strong point was probably having the most amazing shots of Batman with the best design of Batman overall. However still very boring with little animation in it, seems as though they used a ton of still shots to make this one keep running. The scene with Batman standing tall in the fire had the gitters going through me and you can tell the story teller was trying harder to depict the dark side of Batman.
The third episode, Field Test, was probably the best american style animation adoptation of them all. When this one started out you finally get to see Bruce Wayne. With this in mind the character design of Bruce was alot like Peter Parker from the new Spiderman series and was alot easier to relate to. The artwork in this epsiode was awsome because it was clean, had clear colors, and everything seems to flow, including the animation. I really liked this one because it had alot more animated action in it and reminded me alot of the 90's series, which is hard to do now a day. However not only was the visuals awsome the storyline was also fun and interesting to follow as well. Getting into Bruce Wayne finally then seeing batman was something the first two episodes didnt do at all. Overall if one of the episodes were to be chosen to be made into a full fledged series id take this one without a doubt.
Finally the fourth episode, Darkness Dwells, was starting to make this DVD a little more worth While. After watching an entertaining third episode i was hoping its only up from here, and surely it was. While Batman did have a poor character design the story was still entertaining and had the darker side of detetives. You also get a treat by seeing the Scarecrow again and Batman gets to play a better Batman with this story. The only bad part, yet again, was the Animation. The entire time it was building up to one climax scene where Batman would take down a bunch of bad guys and take the goods with him and win. This scene was messed up by having too many flashes, poor animation, and really bad frame rates. Overall though you cant let just one scene ruin the entire episode, it was still worth watching.
Finally the 5th episode, Working Through Pain, you would think "ah 2 good episodes this one is going to top it yet again" well your wrong. We go back to poor story telling and yet again poor animation styles. Batman himself looks really neat here, the character designs were a bit poor, and the story was just not interesting let alone some what confusing. Watching how Bruce is going through training again to handle pain but at the same time your also watching him fight through pain, however it wasnt edited to blend well at all. To me this one would have worked being in a future film or having more time to explain but for the time it did have it was a failed attempt at something great. Similar to episode 1 the ending just took the icing off the tumbling cake.
I must say they always save the grand finale for last and with episode 6, Deadshot, just proves my point. Starting out with what i was thinking would be yet another poorly animated, over done detailed, animated short turned out to be something i wanted to last hours. Batman facing off against a steathy sniper Deadshot must defeat him before killing the good guy. The episode features absolutely amazing visuels with both the character designs and the scenery. With shots of the city as Deadshot takes aim into a high rise building from a ferris wheel to Batman standing strong on a ledge. The animation in this one was stunning as well and everything visuelly seemed to be done correctly. The storyline was intriguing and had you on your seat with chills passing through your body. This episode really makes you think just how great the Dark knight is going to be. This might be the only episode on the DVD that i wanted more of when the credits started rolling by.
Overall the DVD is a renter. Possibly watch each episode alone as watching them all can get boring as they dont interlock like a movie would. With 2 to 3 wasted episodes i really dont see this as a keeper, even though i bought it anyways because im a batman fan. Honestly the sound could of been better, i believe the trailers had my room shaking more than the movie itself ever did, and the visuals in some episodes were below average. Bonus features on the DVD side of things were merely a Wonder Woman sneak peek, behind the scenes type of thing, and commentary while WB decided to load the Blu Ray version with tons of features. There is a The Dark Knight trailer embeded in the features trailers though so be sure to check that out!
Final Thought. With acclaimed writers behind the scenes, Josh Olson, David Goyer, Brian Azzarello, Greg Rucka, Jordan Goldberg, and Alan Burnett, you would expect alot better. However they are busy working on the best film of the year so you cant really blame them. :) Anyways this is no where near the caliber the american Batman animations level, except mybe the third and 6th episodes, and i sure hope WB doesnt let anime ruin anymore DC comics. I was EXTREMELY hyped up to see a Batman animated movie after watching Superman Doomsday but i just see this as a missed opotunity and im still waiting for its release.
Finaly grade 7/10 (5/10 for the first two episodes)

The Day the Earth Stood Still remake!
Released in 1951, this sci-fi movie took audiences captive. Although i was not alive at the time, I love the original movie. The movie was about an alien that had landed on Earth, not to enslave the human race or even use them for a recipe in a cook book..heh...but instead to lend a helping had to the war torn humans.
Quick overview: A UFO lands in Washington DC and a panicked crowd gathers around it. Klaatu, played by Michael Rennie, and Gort ,the robot played by Lock Martin, emerge from the saucer. As Klaatu tries to extend his arm in friendship, an army man shoots him and Gort destroys their guns with a laser. After he is treated at the hospital, he makesa plea to get the worlds rulers to meet and discuss so that Klaatu may help them, but they are too prideful and arrogant.Klaatu escapes, evading the army and returns to his ship. But before he leaves, Klaatu, as scientists from around the globe gathered near the spaceship, addresses the people of Earth warning them about their current actions and endeavors and their consequences. He says:
"Citizens of earth. I am leaving soon. And you will forgive me if I speak bluntly. The universe grows smaller everyday. And the threat of aggression of any group can no longer be tolerated. There must be security for all, or no one is secure. This does not mean giving up any freedom. Except the freedom to act irresponsibly. Your ancestors knew this when they made laws to govern themselves and hired policemen to enforce them.
We, of the other planets, have long accepted this principle. We have an organization for the mutual protection for all worlds and the complete elimination of all aggression. The test of any such higher authority is of course the police force that supports it. For our policemen, we created a race of robots. Their function is to patrol the planets, in space ships like this one, and preserve the peace. In matters of aggression, we have given them absolute power over us. This power cannot be revoked. At the first sign of violence, they act automatically against the aggressor. The penalty for provoking their action is too terrible to risk.
The result is, we live in peace. Without arms or armies. Secure in the knowledge that we are free from aggression and war. Free to pursue more profitable enterprises. Now we do not pretend to have achieved perfection, but we do have a system, and it works. I came here to give you these facts. It is no concern of ours how you run your own planet. But if you threaten to extend your violence, this planet of yours will be reduced to a burned out cinder. Your choice is simple. Join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course, and face obliteration.
We shall be waiting for your answer. The decision rests with you.
Gort, Maringa.”
This of course is just a brief overview and much more happens in the movie. But now a little about the remake. Klaatu will be played but...Keanu Reeves...*sigh*. But Jennifer Connely is in it. Haha. Kathy Bates will also be included in the cast The studio is 20th Century Fox and the director is Scott Derrickson. Look for this release in December of this year! I know i cant wait because i loved the original and probably will hate the remake...darn Keanu Reeves. Klaatu. Barrada. Nicto.

Why People Fall for the Ipod Namebrand....
Now before I start this OPINION post im must tell people its MY opinion and if your an ipod fan its most likely going to differ from mine. However its my opinion so its nothing to get mad about.
Now to my post....Why is that no matter what apple does all they have to is slap Ipod on there things and people will go stand in line or brag about how they got the latest ipod? Now this isnt complete entertainment but with the new Iphone coming out i just cant help it.
New Iphone 3g is 10 times better than the first iphone and everyone that wasted 600 bucks on the first Iphone should buy this one! You see this everywhere. The thing is i was the one person telling every "wait 6 months and we will see a new one, dont waste your money" and no one wanted to believe me because its IPOD! Well guess what? We didnt even make it 6 months and here Apple is releasing something that should of been released 6 months ago. Im sorry but the 3g network thats suposed to be "faster" has been around long before Iphone was een talked about. Its on my phone for crying out loud and i got mine months before Iphone. Not only that but whats in this thing that makes it cost 600 bucks? It doesnt have bluray, cant play next generation games, all it does is hold 4 gigs of music(shuffles cost what 60 bucks?) and has a touchscreen(they dont cost more than 20 bucks to make) no one really needs right now. Sure it has PDA like features but why not go buy a PDA for 80? O wait those dont have touchscreens....
Dont get me wrong the Iphone is something everyone should use before judging, it just doesnt impress me. It really is handy and has some neat things, but why would i want it to begin with? Im happy going with the samsung knockoff because it has the same useless features and its cheaper. However this is a Apple trend, lets release a un finished product now and then release the "better" baby steps along the way. Then when its finally there lets dump it and move on to another project and take baby steps with that. Its not really the Apple way as there computers never change (only kidding about that) but its the Ipod way. The thing is people fall into this every time they see the Ipod. I guess we got to give Apple credit for getting their name big first huh. Not that all those other mp3 players that surpass the ipod are any good or all the iphone "knockoffs" have anything the same. Now being the Iphone was exspensive i was thinking just maybe Apple would not do this to us, yet i was wrong there. Just dont try to get any customer service for your 600 bucks.
Anyways thats the end of my rant about how people that adore Apple too much need to open their eyes a little bit. Everyone has that company they love but not every company has the world at thier fingertips like Apple Iphone name brand does. Just remember its my opinion and if you wasted your money on an Iphone 1 your probably blowing up right now ready to kill me, dont worry you will thank me one day.

Millar Wants to Do Supermna Revamp
Mark Millar said that he always wanted to make a Superman movie and started pitching his ideas for a "revamp" to WB before directing Wanted. In a interview he has mentioned that its his dream and goal to bring Superman into the 21st century and has an entire idea planned our for the series.
Well recently he has even mentioned that he has a un disclosed director and several other assets ready to go to make the series. Later mentioning that he has inside sources that are helping him get closer to the goal. He said if anything is going to happen WB will let everyone know before Christmas.
HOWEVER while all this is going on people must realise that Bryan Singer, Superman Returns, has already stated he is working on the next Superman. Legendary Pictures, co producing the movie, even mentioned that the next Superman is turning out to be am ore angry godlike character. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT, or at least me. Bryan Singer directed both Xmen and Xmen 2, and while superman returns was boring to people its because he had to revive the series. However instead of going back and redoing all the supermans he decided to continue and try to restart from there. To me Singer is taking superman in the right direction and should be given another chance.
The thing is we dont want to revamp or redo the series. The first supermans with Christopher Reeves are still amazing. Brandon Routh follows the role perfectly! The most important thing about this, however, all those starred Lex Luthor as the main criminal except one. We dont want to watch Lex anymore, that the truth, we want the seres to move on and we want to see other bad guys. Lets see Darkseid or Doomsday, lets make people cry when Superman dies! Lets not revamp it and lets continue where we are at to get some new stories in there. If Millar can do this im all for it, but if he just wants to revamp the old i am against it. There are so many interesting Superman Stories and after Superman Returns we really need some of them to help boost the series. Not only this but lets work Batman and Superman together coming out with Justice League later?
Deep down as long as Bryan Singer contiues making comic films and Brandon Routh stays as Superman im completely happy, do what you might Millar, just keep Routh and give Singer a chance.

Watchmen Trailer Before The Dark Knight
I dont know if anyone is as excited to see the Watchmen as me but they have officialy announced a trailer to appear before The Dark Knight. What better way to announce a great movie then to do it before a great movie huh. The Watchmen is a movie by Zach Snyder, 300, and is based upon one of the best selling graphic novels. The film has a release date of march 2009!
The trailer was a part of the announcment of 3 WB films that will be debuting before The Dark Knight. Thankfully all the speculation about Harry Potter being one of the three was false and we wont be seeing that before the greatest movie of the year. However speculation has moved that it will be shown before Star Wars: Clone Wars this coming august.
The three confirmed trailers however include these. Terminator Salvations, a sequel/prequel to the terminator series, im very excited to see this trailer as well, let alone Christian Bale (Batman) stars in it as well. Watchmen, obviously, will be the second trailer we see. Finally the last trailer we will see is Body of Lies starring Leonardo DiCaprio!
So now you can not only look forward to seeing the most anticipated movies of the year but see some kickass trailers to go with it. Remember these are just the WB films appearing before Batman.

Little Big Planet
On TV the other day I saw a Playstation 3 commercial with Gran Turismo , Metal Gear Solid 4 (complete ownage), and Little Big Planet. The thing that stood out to me the most was this game, Little Big Planet, so i decided to research it.
The world of Little Big Planet is a stitched together world. The characters look as if they are created out of spools of thread, which is a nice change to the realism we see nowadays. Your characters need to act physically with the environment. There will be puzzles that will need to be solved, items to collect and obstacles to explore, but you will need to work together to achieve these. Pretty soon you will see your creative skills increasing and you will be able to create new things in the environment as well as modify the surrounding areas.
What is really interesting is there will be a level editor type of game play where you can create a level with little nooks and crannies. Then, when you are completed, you can invite your friends over to play your world. There is also a four player co-op and versus mode. This is a Playstation 3 exclusive title. Be sure to look for this game when it is released October 1st 2008. Also look for my review when it comes out.

Hancock Movie Review
The first review for this blog based on a movie! And i'm glad to be bringing it to you. However let start off by saying why reviews here will be different than most reviews you see on the Internet Almost all “professional” (quoted for a reason) reviews are made by people that don't even watch the movie. I get passes to pre screenings to movies where the first two rows are sectioned off for these people and guess what? They are always empty, so I ask the people running the event who it was supposed to be and its local newspapers to website people that were SUPPOSED to be sitting there. Not only that but these people seem to get “paid off” and I say this because i've been inside the reviewing industry before and some companies will give you some perks, if a certain movies don't give you a pre-screening or some type of gift they automatically get a bad review from certain reviewers. Now i'm not saying ALL people are like this but trust me you CANNOT say it doesn't happen. However I mention this because I want to promise you I will not be like those people, all reviews I post are my opinion and my opinion alone. I will critique a movie and you may or may not agree but just remember i'm being truthful. I also like to make movies so I know to look for certain aspects and how things should be better.
However now you may be asking yourself why i'm bringing this up right now before a review? The reason being is because Hancock is the perfect example. Yahoo even reported it earlier this morning with the exact title of “Users are giving good reviews while critics are mixed.” I read both and from the critics we had quotes similar to “The biggest train wreck in movie history, in a bad way” from the critics but users had quotes like “Amazing and unique superhero flick.” Well i'm not here to say “Superhero bandwagon” or to say “it was the greatest film ever made” i'm here to tell my opinion and here goes.
Hancock....what happens when you pair up a problematic society killing superhero drunk with Will Smith. Superheroes usually have some kind of code of conduct and are usually saving the world properly but Hancock has none of this. Being drunk all the time and doesn't care how he gets the job done causing many problems with society. Until, of course, meeting a PR man that is needed to do something with his failing life as well. Hancock is about showing people that not all superheroes are perfect and in the end are really trying to be their best.
What starts out as a very funny superhero flick turns into something more serious half way through. However while most people are saying this was a major mistake I thought of it as awesome. During the first half of the movie your witnessing several incidents and watching society around Hancock is changing and a lot of problems arising etc... However being funny was covering all this up and half way though it hits you, the fact that the first half was indeed serious the whole time and we got a problem here. However this movie throws your right into a emotional train at this part, at first your laughing, then your in your action mode and from there you may cry or even be on the edge of your seat with all the intense scenes happening finally ending up in a mood that makes you want to cheer for Hancock at one point. While sitting in a theater seating 400 people you can actually here people cheering Hancock on. I have honestly not seen a movie that had me go through so many emotions inside in a while. So the story in the end was amazing and the scriptwriting was tremendous, very funny remarks that will keep you laughing long after the scene is over.
Not only did it follow Hancock well but the story was built to put you in the shows of the city. You watch as the society around the hero changes and you can see how its really effecting the world. Everything from talking about how much it takes to clean up a city after a superhero fight to how a superhero has a effect on people themselves. Not only that but the camera shots were amazing, making it seem like your stepping in and watching this secretly, camera was never really still and had a feel like it was a person actually watching this happen.
To every movie there is a downside and this movie had one major one. I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon of Hancock trying to be serious, because it is, but its the CGI and special effects in this movie. A lot of it seemed out of place, really fake, and was not smooth at all. Without ruining it you see one in the commercials where Hancock flies through a sign. Instead of maybe breaking the middle and having it fall into the street the sign for some odd reason decides to completely explode with fake looking texture pieces flying at the screen. If he is flying through it wouldn't the pieces fly the same direction at least? Not only this but shots like this didn't have the shatter hit the ground at all. The thing is that this only lasted through the first half of the movie, the part that “real critics” loved. The thing is you reach that half way point and it completely changes everything, at this point the CGI is perfect and isn't overly dramatic, the effects look real, and it has one of the most awesome scenes in the movie done perfectly. You had buildings falling apart, tornadoes, all of it and yet it looked ten times better than the first half of the movie where all they had to do was make a sign break.
Overall I give the movie an 8/10 because its worth seeing in theaters by far but its not the greatest movie in the world. The last scene in the movie had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation on whats going to happen, had people cheering for Hancock, and even had some people in almost tears. This scene is just an example of how well played out the second half of the movie was, so don't let those other “critics” say it sucked because it got serious. Its will smith not Will Ferrel so i'm sorry to tell you all expecting a dumb humor, superhero movie, your getting a real movie.
Final words, fix the CG effects and you got yourself one hell of a movie. 8/10

Time Capsule #1
Time to open the Time Capsule! This series of articles will be posted once every week to discover what is kept within the capsule. I will review games of the past as well as the movies. Make sure to pay attention each week as a new one is posted.
This week I am looking at dun dun dun!... Silent Hill for the Playstation!
I remember my mom playing this when i was in the third grade and getting scared out of my mind! Yes, my mom was a gamer. :) This game takes you to the character of Harry Mason, a normal everyday Joe. As the game opens your character and his daughter, Cheryl, are driving out on vacation, to Silent Hill, when out of nowhere a little girl appears in the road and Harry tries to swerve out of the way. Of course, he flips his car and is knocked out cold. When he awakens he finds out that his daughter is missing! Oh noes! That is how it starts. Throughout the game you encounter many religious occult themes as well as a very creepy old lady named Dahlia Gelespy. Look the themes up if you have the time, they tie in the game series quite nicely.
So that you know how it starts, lets talk about the actual game. First, there are two things you should know: there is a light world, and a dark world. In the light world there are weird monsters but at night the real freaks come out. Here are a few names: Air Screamer (Pterodactyl creature), Night Flutter (Pterodactyls with maggots on their faces),Grey Children(faceless,knife-wielding kids), Mumblers (headless "teddy bears" with claws ), Larval Stalker (ghosties), Groaner(skinned dog creatures), Puppet Nurse and Puppet Doctor (have slug creatures on their back), Romper(skinned or burned humanoids), Creeper(insect creatures), and Hanged Scratcher(praying mantis humanoid). Craziness...and they kinda sound like Pokemon.
Game play wise it is all about the mood. It is grainy, resembling an old time horror movie, which is awesome. The lighting is epic. Light is cast mostly due to the flashlight found at the beginning of the game. Graphic wise, well it is PS1 so don't expect too much nowadays. Even though it is not that great graphic-wise, the enemies you encounter are none-the-less horrific. When you play it you may notice the fog...yeah...it is another atmospheric element. You cant see a few feet ahead of you so when a monster pops out, it scares the be-jebus out of you! Plus Silent Hill is on the sea-side so there is gonna be fog.
The sound in the game was awesome. It employed a 3D sound system making it seem like the noises came from a different direction. If a monster was behind you, the speakers in your room in the back would go off. This also added to the atmosphere of the game The CG had no voice work sadly and the cut scene voice work was generated by the game-engine. It made me laugh when i played this again, the voice acting was sooooooo cheesy even for back then.
Unlockables. There are multiple endings depending on how you played the game, but one was only a "true ending". Also, you can unlock powerful weapons which you can play with by starting a new game, one of which was a katana!
Revisiting this game made me extremely happy and brought back fond memories of my childhood. Personal anecdote, when my mom played this game I was sick and was wearing Vicks Vapor Rub on my nose, so whenever i wear Vicks, I think of the game and it scares the crap out of me. This game is definitely worth revisiting if you have the time and can find it. I give it a 9.0/10 on playability and 9.9/10 on scariness.
Time to close up the capsule and revisit it another day. Make sure you check this out next week when i review another game from dun dun dun! *echoed deep voice* The Time Capsule!!!

Batman Update 1
Well the most anticipated movie of the summer is only 17 days away! The Dark knight is the sequel to one of the best comic book related movies ever made and with reviews already hitting the internet it seems as though this may just be the absolute best. With Ironman finally falling off the top ten list last week people are doubting rather or not this movie will live up to the hype. Well all we can do is wait, i can gurentee you the guys here at the informer will be seeing this the day it comes out. However to hold you over till the release ill be returning with news and info about the movie as much as i can, just to help pass time.
In todays update i have several links of contests and other goodies that are coming. Along with a little tidbits and news to help you get excited!
First off Dominoes, the pizza in our world, has brought Gotham City to life. They are now delivering Gotham City Pizza! The pizza comes in a black box and even says Gotham City pizza on it, i am going to try and grab a box without the pizza in it soon so i can take pics. However along with this special pizza they have set up an entire site dedicated to the Dark Knight, and its FILLED with tons of goodies so i suggest you check it out. Here it is https://www.dominosvault.com/index.aspx On the site you can view trailers, behind the scenes stuff, and it even has 2 free contests to enter daily!
Speaking of contests this leads me to point number 2. Totoinoes, another pizza company lol, is also doing a special dark knight promotion found here. http://generalmills.eprize.net/darkknight/index.tbapp You able to enter daily, and you dont even have to buy anything, and it last till december! If you want a secret go read the rules and they give you a special code to use without having to buy a package.
Finally here is the offical site incase you over looked it with all the anticipation. http://thedarkknight.warnerbros.com/
In other news Batman tickets have already gone on sale! Yes they are pre-selling them to anyone that has the money to buy it now. You can visit movie ticket sites or visit your local theatres website to buy advanced screening tickets. However there is a bad side to this. Its noted that these tickets are already sold out in many places now. Most theatres are staying open till 3 AM just to meet the demand. Online movie tickets sellers are even reporting that the demand and selling rate for Batman tickets have already surpassed that of Ironman! Maybe we should add Batman to the top list today just to be fair?
Dont forget that Pre-Screening tickets are also availible in few supplies. Im trying to get my hands on some here but are having no luck.
In special news be sure to stay for the credits. The cast has decided to put “In Memory of Heath Ledger and Conway Wickliffe. Both of which lost thier lives during the making of this movie. Both will be missed tremendously and both deserve this alot.
Thats the news for now. Look for more coming very soon!

Harmonix Sequel
Harmonix, makers of the best band simulation game Rock Band, has announced the sequel, if you will. Yes, thats right, Rock Band 2! It is said to be released in September. There is a catch though. Playstation 3 as well as the Wii will not receive the game for the console at first. Yes, only Xbox 360 will get it first. You may be wondering a few things. Yes, all the songs you downloaded on Xbox Marketplace will be backwards compatable with the new Rock Band. Also, all the instruments are backwards compatible. There are also rumors of revamped instruments in the making. You can never go wrong with a great party game where you and your friends can make total fools out of yourselves. Haha. I look forward to doing this in September when i get it for my Xbox. Always and Never ~Pyro
Remember the day 12/3/08!
Oh yeah! I don't know about you all but I am excited out of my mind for the release of Starcaft 2! According to Gamestop the release date is December 12th 2008 just in time for Christmas.
A little background about the first game. Release in September 3, 1997, Starcraft centered around three races, Terran (or humans), Protoss (advanced humanoid aliens), and the Zerg (reptilian-insect like species). The game takes you through the battles and wars of the races in a remote region of the galaxy. They all have their own leaders. When you select the campaign you select one of the races to play. All of the races’ stories intertwine with each other and make for an amazing game. If you plan on playing Starcraft II for the storyline, you might want to pick up Starcraft and Starcraft:Brood War to understand what is going on.
Starcraft II has been on original gameplayers’ minds since Starcraft came out and nearly 10 years later our dreams are fulfilled! Blizzard announced the game last year at E3 with an amazing trailer and since then I, as well as many others have been constantly checking the official site (http://www.starcraft2.com/) for more and more updates.
So now, what has been changed and what has been added? Well first of all the units. NO,no they did not change all of the units and some of our favorites are back to ravage once again. Here they are by race:
Terran:
So these are the familiar units that were brought back. The Marine, Ghost, Battlecruiser, and Seige Tank has been announced as making a return. But the new units are outstanding! First we have the Reapers:
”Reapers are the most hardened Terran criminals, taken from the most dangerous and violent prisons. Potential marines who prove too intractable even after resocialization are instead sent to the “Icehouse” in the Torus system, where reapers are trained.” says the official site. They attack with two Gauss pistols, as well has D-8 charges to blow the crap out of anything! Although they are lightly armored, they have jet packs which allow them to jump from cliffs or across obstacles.
Another unit is the Viking. This seems to be a combo of the Wraith and Goliath from Starcraft I. IT is able to change from air unit to ground unit in a few seconds.
The AH/g-24 Banshee was a new design of other aircrafts. Instead of attacking air units it ONLY attacks ground units. IT is mounted with two turbo fans as well as cloaking, yes i said CLOAKING!!!!
The most amazing looking unit has to be the Thor. It is a HUGE machine resembling a seige tank on roids! What is awesome is that it is built by an SCV which tells you its like a building. IT had cannons mounted on its back and is called the “Ultimate Heavy-assault Mech.”
Lastly for the Terran's is the TF-620 Nomad. It is a light-manufacturing center and observation post in one. It can construct an auto-turret as well as other permanent defensive buildings.
Protoss:
Ok so the Protoss now have a bunch of new units, so bear with me please. The returning units are the Zealots (”My life for Auir!” lol), the Carrier, the Dark Templar, and Observer.
One new unit is the Immortal. Since the dragoon shrine dedicated to creating the Dragoons was infested by Zerg, they are now no more. The remaining Dragoon are now these Immortals with twin phase disruptors. They are a critical fire support to the Protoss and can use their shields in battle.
Created by the Dark Templar with the inspiration of the Dragoons, they began to create the Stalker machines which is a fusion of the Dark Templars shadow-essence to the machine. One ability is to blink which allows them to jump a short distance in the blink of an eye.
The Pheonix are a replacement of the Scouts of old. They are mounted with twin ion blasters and can attack both ground and air targets. “Phoenix pilots can unleash a short-lived storm of destruction by overloading its warp field through the ship’s ion blasters. The area-effect discharge is devastating and can destroy a large number of enemies at once, but it comes at a price: in the aftermath the phoenix is left temporarily powerless and crippled.” says the official site.
The Colossus walks on four long legs which allow it to walk up and down cliffs. IT carries two thermal lances and they switch instantaneously from target to target. It was created as a war machine, which is odd because Protoss machines are ussually for gathering.
The twilight archon are made by merging two templars together allowing them to form this beast of a unit. They use their psionic abilities to shoot fire and lightning from their hands! Muhahaha!
Last but not least for the Protoss is the Mothership. “At the heart of each mothership is a huge khaydarin crystal infused with an incredible amount of psionic energy. By tapping into this energy, a mothership can warp or crack the very fabric of space and time itself. The devastating power of a mothership can wipe out squadrons of enemy ships in the blink of an eye or lay waste to entire planets.”
Zerg:
Okay Blizzard has only announced three units for the Zerg on their site so far, two of which are returning units. The Hydralisk and Mutalisk have been announced and I'm pretty sure they will bring out the zerglings soon enough, because who doesnt like to zerg rush
The new unit is the Baneling, which is a mutation of the Zergling strain. They are created with chemicals in their abdomens that are VERY volatile. They can roll up on their enemies and POW! explode all over them like a suicider. The thing that makes this great is that they can burrow, so you can pop one out of the ground roll up on a guy and blow the be-jeebies out of him!
Well that is about it for Starcraft II at the moment. Check the site out for more information on the game and new updates. http://www.starcraft2.com/ i am eager for this release and want December to come around SO badly.

"300" Sequel/Prequel in the works
From several sources now im hearing about how the spartans are going to be returning! This is not another cheesy movie that no one cares about because its not funny movie, if you know what i mean. This is another full action packed, amazing visuels movie that is in the works!
Zack Snyder (director) and Frank miller (writer) have been signed on to come back and direct another 300 film. However its yet to be confirmed exactly what this movie may be, could be sequel, spin off, or even a prequel (going back in time). The ending of 300, however, would make most people assume the sequel option is out of question.
Miller is currently writing the graphic novel the movie will be based off. Snyder is waiting for the complete novel before he entirely comits to the film. He said its important to get the job done right as he takes his work seriously, he is currently working on the anticiapted Watchmen movie.
Many people have said 300 was the most remarkable thing ever viewed on a screen but will this movie live up? Many fans believe the movie should be left as a masterpieve rather than see WB squeeze out all they can with it. However there have also been 3 other similar movies announced within days of this announcment so who really knows. With Snyder behind the camera anything is possible.

PlayStation Frimware 2.4
Well the moment is finally here and all the sony fanboys, or just PS3 owners, can finally wave their hands in the air for Firmware 2.4. Well some may ask “Gee just another dang update i have to sit through” and im in that boat to, but this is not just aother upate, its a giant fireworks showcase!
2.4 is the highly anticipated firmware upgrade that many people have been asking for. Whats so special about it? Three quick features, In game xross Media Bar, In game music from your own collection, and finally TROPHIES. What is all of this exactly? Lets explain in the easiest way possible.
in game XMB is something special and very usefull that we have dreadfully needed let alone wanted. XMB refers to the main menu when you first start up your game, where you go to listen to music or start the game etc… so now instead of having to quit games to go look at a message or fix that darn headset that wont connect, you can merely push the ps button and never have to quit the game. Be sure to push pause though because sony has yet to perfect it to push pause on some games, so while your fixing that mic you can be getting owned by a heard of Nauzis in some WW2 game. So far from our sources it is known that not all things are clickable without leaving the game, for example you cant click on the PS store and go shopping while metal gear awaits your needs, the game will close and you will go directly to the store without any hassle or pause in loading. It is known that you can indeed click on messeges, talk to friends, and mess with the mic settings without any problems.
The in game music is another small feature we are finally getting as well. Basicly you listen to music while you play the game, enough said. However sony added a few other features like a whole new bar to play rewind and close music. Along with a sound setting, so if metallica is too loud and you cant here guys sneaking around you can easily just turn it down a little.
Finally the best part of the whole update! TROPHIES. That is if you live in your moms basement and play video games 24/7. Im only kidding. Trophies is a really neat feature to add some excitement to our gaming library. What happens is similar to that of the Xbox 360 achievments. You play a game, do random things throughout the game, and you get rewarded with a trophy. Each game will have a Bronze trophies, silver trophies, and gold trophies. Each trophy has a point count, but this count is only for the devs to know, so each developer an only use so many points. This keeps them from letting players get number one by playing their game or using it as a advertising product. However if you accomplish getting every single trophy in the game you then get a platnium trophy which will then boost your player score by tons! Each player is tracked based on the trophies they recieve and the total behind the scenes points the earn.
Trophies then are displayed for others to see through friends lists, and can even be compared with other players, and will at one point be on display with HOME. Note that not all trophies will be on display. Sony has also added another menu to the XMB which is where players can view their trophies and what all is missing from certain games. ALL future games, expecially first party sony games, will have trophy support! If they dont then dont waste your money on a lazy dev. Sony mentioned Stardust from the PSN store will be the first game thats ALREADY OUT to be UPDATED and have trophy support with others like Resistance coming later. You will, however, need to go back through all your games and replay them to earn the trophies, so no transfering a gamesave to cheat your way to the top.
Sony also added a few extra perks like a google search bar on the XMB and some other neat features to tie in the fun. The update is expected to hit PS3’s on July 2 2008, just 2 more days! Hope everyone enjoys and we will get more info as soon as possible!

Killer Gas Prices
As i was reading the news this morning, i noticed another article about gas prices. I was very interested yet very disturbed as many of us are today. A new record for crude oil has been set at around $143 per barrel! This is a 50% growth from the beginning of the year! Amazing if you really think about. It used to be $96 at the beginning of the year, but since higher demands from China and many other developing nations, the prices have risen and will continue to rise until we are forced to rely on another supply. But sadly this will never happen. We are way to dependant on foreign oil and we can never control OPEC.While the Middle Eastern countries are stuck paying a whopping 65-91 cents per gallon while we are here paying at least $4.00. What can we do about oil prices? Nothing really. All we can do is hope they go down and enjoy maybe walking or bike riding. A little exercise didnt kill anyone did it? Try even getting a hybrid car or a vegetable oil based car. They are even developing a water based car, but we all know the governement would never let that happen. I mean really it would screw up their economy. All i can say is that i hope you all can continue paying these prices, especially if you own a muscle car.

Blizzard does it again!
After a long awaited arrival, Blizzard now has announced Diablo III! If you are not excited then you probably never played one of the best action-RPG games, Diablo II, or if that isnt the case, than you are just boring. Haha, totally kidding. Announced at the Worldwide Invitational in Paris, which I wished I could go to, Jay Wilson, the lead designer for the game, walked onto the stage and started the demo showing a massive Barbarian. Hooray! You may be thinking, “My god! My puny computer will never be able to run this amazing game. It must have requirements similar to that of Crysis!” Well i am here to say dont worry. Pull your head from your pillow and stop crying. The games graphics are isometric again somewhat like Starcraft 2. The edge to this is that you dont need an epic computer just to run the dang thing. Okay, so what is new here? Why should you be enthralled in this? two words: destroyable environments. This is one of my favorite added features to games. The game makes good use of its Havok engine. I dont know about you but I hate when you cant destroy trees, trash cans or other parts of the level. With this added to the game it should make the player feel as if he is his character and he can destroy almost anything he needs. It is the little things that make a game worthwhile.
Another feature added to Diablo III is a new class, the WItch Doctor. This character class has abilities that focus on his/her pet and also taking over the minds of his/her enemy. I dont know about you, but i get all warm and fuzzy inside everytime i control an enemy in other games. How much more so will it be in Diablo?
Blizzard, as everyone expected, has not set a release date. I think we all know this was gonna happen since they said Starcraft:Ghost would come out in a few years then they pushed the date back until they just canceled it. But hey, what can i say. As long as it is amazing, they can take all the time they need. They pride themselves on quality. “We intend to take as much time developing Diablo III as is necessary to ensure the game meets our own high expectations and those of our players,” says Blizzard on one of their FAQ.
So, with anticipation for the game i plan to spend all night playing Diablo II, preparing myself and holding myself over until Diablo III is released. My last words of this are: This game is going to be epic! No doubt in my mind.

Meet Pyro
Hey guys what is happening. You are probably thinking to yourself, “Hey! This is the same posting as last time!” Well i’m here to say no its not you big cry baby! I am another person other than Dustin. My name is David. I am seventeen. Dustin and I are good friends who live a few streets down and thought it would be a sick idea to start a blog. So, here we are. A little background on me: I love gaming which is why i am doing a gaming part of this blog as well as other stuff on here. Music-wise i listen mostly to metal. No not that screaming crap that you cant even understand! I hate that! I am talking about bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Pantera, Iron Maiden. I also listen to a lot of Coheed and Cambria as well because they rock! I hate and despise most of hip hop and rap.I also am single but I do have my eye on someone. Dustin knows who i am talking about. That is about it for now, so if you see Pyro posted then you know it is me. I hope you enjoy it.

Whats to know about me? Alot I guess. My Real name is Dustin! Anyways i was a writing for a PlayStation site, but being biased to one thing got boring and the admin of the site were a little out of it, so i ventured off onto my own to become a better writer. Well ive taken several writing classes and have been writing everyday since then and im now here writing for you! I hope you enjoy my news and opinion on this site!
Along with doing all this for websites I write alot on my own. Im currently writing movies and bringing them to life, you may see some pop up here, but this is where my interest in writing news on entertainment sparked. Im also writing a comic book series, which at this point is coming out within a few weeks! The series is done with a very talented artist and can be bought around the world! I love being creative and writing gets that done.
Other than that i just love to play video games, go to the movies ALOT, and make my own things. I never really get bored to be honest! If you want to play online or talk to me feel free to contact me!
