Blizzard does it again!

After a long awaited arrival, Blizzard now has announced Diablo III! If you are not excited then you probably never played one of the best action-RPG games, Diablo II, or if that isnt the case, than you are just boring. Haha, totally kidding. Announced at the Worldwide Invitational in Paris, which I wished I could go to, Jay Wilson, the lead designer for the game, walked onto the stage and started the demo showing a massive Barbarian. Hooray! You may be thinking, “My god! My puny computer will never be able to run this amazing game. It must have requirements similar to that of Crysis!” Well i am here to say dont worry. Pull your head from your pillow and stop crying. The games graphics are isometric again somewhat like Starcraft 2. The edge to this is that you dont need an epic computer just to run the dang thing. Okay, so what is new here? Why should you be enthralled in this? two words: destroyable environments. This is one of my favorite added features to games. The game makes good use of its Havok engine. I dont know about you but I hate when you cant destroy trees, trash cans or other parts of the level. With this added to the game it should make the player feel as if he is his character and he can destroy almost anything he needs. It is the little things that make a game worthwhile.
Another feature added to Diablo III is a new class, the WItch Doctor. This character class has abilities that focus on his/her pet and also taking over the minds of his/her enemy. I dont know about you, but i get all warm and fuzzy inside everytime i control an enemy in other games. How much more so will it be in Diablo?
Blizzard, as everyone expected, has not set a release date. I think we all know this was gonna happen since they said Starcraft:Ghost would come out in a few years then they pushed the date back until they just canceled it. But hey, what can i say. As long as it is amazing, they can take all the time they need. They pride themselves on quality. “We intend to take as much time developing Diablo III as is necessary to ensure the game meets our own high expectations and those of our players,” says Blizzard on one of their FAQ.
So, with anticipation for the game i plan to spend all night playing Diablo II, preparing myself and holding myself over until Diablo III is released. My last words of this are: This game is going to be epic! No doubt in my mind.
Always and Never
