Millar Wants to Do Supermna Revamp

Mark Millar said that he always wanted to make a Superman movie and started pitching his ideas for a "revamp" to WB before directing Wanted. In a interview he has mentioned that its his dream and goal to bring Superman into the 21st century and has an entire idea planned our for the series.

Well recently he has even mentioned that he has a un disclosed director and several other assets ready to go to make the series. Later mentioning that he has inside sources that are helping him get closer to the goal. He said if anything is going to happen WB will let everyone know before Christmas.

HOWEVER while all this is going on people must realise that Bryan Singer, Superman Returns, has already stated he is working on the next Superman. Legendary Pictures, co producing the movie, even mentioned that the next Superman is turning out to be am ore angry godlike character. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT, or at least me. Bryan Singer directed both Xmen and Xmen 2, and while superman returns was boring to people its because he had to revive the series. However instead of going back and redoing all the supermans he decided to continue and try to restart from there. To me Singer is taking superman in the right direction and should be given another chance.

The thing is we dont want to revamp or redo the series. The first supermans with Christopher Reeves are still amazing. Brandon Routh follows the role perfectly! The most important thing about this, however, all those starred Lex Luthor as the main criminal except one. We dont want to watch Lex anymore, that the truth, we want the seres to move on and we want to see other bad guys. Lets see Darkseid or Doomsday, lets make people cry when Superman dies! Lets not revamp it and lets continue where we are at to get some new stories in there. If Millar can do this im all for it, but if he just wants to revamp the old i am against it. There are so many interesting Superman Stories and after Superman Returns we really need some of them to help boost the series. Not only this but lets work Batman and Superman together coming out with Justice League later?

Deep down as long as Bryan Singer contiues making comic films and Brandon Routh stays as Superman im completely happy, do what you might Millar, just keep Routh and give Singer a chance.
