Zombieland is the Best Film of the Summer

There have been arguments over what the best film is this summer, but it wasn't out until this last weekend. The movie being Zombieland. Sure Transformers 2 was a kickass film, Gi Joe was brilliant, and Wolverine had the story, but nothing blew me away like Zombieland.

Expecting it to be another cheesy, non-funny, zombie horror parody, my expectations were low. I had alot of hope it wouldn't fail, being my fascination with what the film was about, and I guess that made it prevail.
The movie is down right funny from the opening scene right down to the last scene. The only movie to ever make me laugh at every scene like that was Tropic Thunder. Everything from your Zombie parody to a funny storyline and cast, it had it all.

The best part is the movie actually had good scripting and character development, something you don't see often in comidies. Its nice finally having a movie be funny that didn't take the "stoner" route to get there, it also takes someone with talent to do it. While there were some iffy moments in the film, I overall have to say it was the best film I watched all summer.

Check out Zombielands Official site for more info on the film!

Zune Proves Microsoft is Capable of Great Things

As many know by now, the latest Zune HD is now on the market. Unlike Apple releasing a new ipod with minor updates, the Zune HD actually re-defines MP3 players and creates a whole new game for the Zune market.

The new Zune boasts 16GB or 32GB of flash memory, multi touch screen, free wifi, an app store, OLED screen (the absolute best handheld screen ive ever seen), outputs to 720P HD, has HD Radio, and of course free wifi. Microsoft also noted full fledged games will be coming later this year, with actual Xbox namebrands tagged to them.

I already got my hands on a Zune HD, been saving up for one for a while now. I must say it truly is the best handheld device I have ever owned. I have had PSP's, the old Zune, phones, ipods, and other Mp3 players and nothing has been this great and such a huge step up from the old version. The screen is absolutely amazing, the touch screen is the best in the industry by far, and the way everything is organized and looks is just mind blowing. To be honest it completely blows Apples iPods away, but that isn't hard.

Now I post this because it proves that Microsoft knows what they are doing. Having a bad rep for Vista as many users don't know how to use it correctly, people had their doubts. Especially with the Zune brand. However Microsoft stepped their game up big time. This continues with the new Windows 7 coming out later this month. Already getting my hands on it early I can say it is defently the best OS to ever hit computers. Now if only MS can advertise like Apple and brainwash people the same way....

The only market MS isn't going to win is the video game market. Sony is another company that knows what they are doing, and MS try as the may, will never be capable of keeping up with the japanese rulers of video games. So they should stick with emberessing the hell out of Apple with every chance they get.

Hockey in Arizona? Why Not?

A saying the Coyotes are living by this season, Hocky in Arizona Why not? The reason being their latest troubles with a flawed bankruptcy case that is currently on going. In a failed attempt to bring the Coyotes to Canada, team owner faked financial troubles to sell the team to Blackberry owner Ballsillie in order to move them to Canada. That of course is no more and now the Coyotes are seeking a new owner, an owner that knows what he is doing. So I ask, why should the Coyotes stay?

"They should move because they have no fans" is a commonly heard phrase I want to get out of the way. Do you people honestly believe what the media tell you everyday? There are no fans because the media keeps pounding that in our heads, the Coyotes have been on a losing streak for a while now. Not making the playoffs for 7 seasons at such a young age is hard for any team. Remember back when they were winning all the fans they had? A Coyotes game was a luxary, even in the bad arena. If you want to fight and say their are no fans, then where was all these Cardinal fans two years ago? You know back when they couldn't even sell out a college football stadium. Why do all the Suns fans suddenly get quiet when they miss the playoffs? Its a stupid saying and couldn't be any more wrong. The media needs to stop stating it, and don't worry Ill remember every station saying it now when they try to jump on our bandwagon come June.

"The Stadium in glendale is too far!" Get off your butt and support the team if your a fan. Not every team can be built in your backyard. Do you know how many people in Texas travel across the state to see the Star or Cowboys? How many people travel to see the Cubs in Chicago? People do it because they love the team, especially if they are winning. West side people never complain about going downtown to see the Dbacks or Suns, Cardinals "fans" never complain about going to see them. If the team is winning people will come, end of story.

Laslty, Coyotes are the pride in the desert. Other than the Suns, they Coyotes always get the TV and radio contracts. Coyotes fans will be heard everywhere, and when they are winning they will be seen everywhere. Even with 7 losing seasons the Coyotes still averaged 10k seats per game, nearly sold out crowds on the weekends. The Coyotes White Out during playoff games is still rated one of the most astonishing sports events on any sports network. When the Coyotes are winning, this will all be back, we will see pride in the desert once again, and all the haters will be forced to eat it before we let them back on our bandwagon.

With a 6-3 win over the Kings this season is looking good so far! GO YOTES!

District 9 Is Not A Mind Blowing Movie

I recently viewed District 9 via a free screening, and while I couldn't wait to see it, I wasn't blown away by any means. Now why bother stating this? Well usually when a majority go with a movie, you have the usual haters, then the movie is usually decent. Well even the "haters" the people that nagged Transformers and The Dark Knight because of their "apparent flaws" are saying this is the greatest movie in years. Let me look closely at why this is wrong.

For starters lets look at the "apparent flaws" this movie has, yet people seem to completely over look. Noting if you haven't seen it, there will be spoilers. For one in the begining of the movie they state that no one has breeched the space ship at all, and its just been sitting there for weeks. Do we honestly believe in this political driven world that a county like America or Russia would not be fighting over this and trying to be the first ones into the shuttle? Next they state that they breeched it and put the aliens in camps on the ground, with people directly within the reach of them, no super secure location or anything. Again we believe this would happen why? Now look at the aliens, they have these super powerful weapons and begin to trade them for cat food. If these aliens were truly addicted to the cat food like stated why would they trade the weapons instead of use them?

You can ignore all of this, but you can't ignore some of the nitpicking things in Batman or Transformers? The complaints only get worse from there. There was a decent story behind it, im not complaining there. The movie had tons of potential but in the end of the day all it turned out to be was another Independance Day knock off. If anyone has ever played the game Resistance Fall of Man (if you havent i highly suggest you do) then you know where they got a majority of their ideas, including the giant space ship and how the main character is changing. The movie isn't original, lacked in many departments, and shouldn't be labeled in the same class as "greatest movies ever made" at all. /end rant
